WeChat official: WeChat circles will cease operations at the end of the year and will be backed up quickly

WeChat officially announced yesterday that due to adjustments in business development direction, the WeChat Circle function will be officially discontinued on December 28, 2021.

In December 2019, WeChat search was officially upgraded to “WeChat Search”, and “Circles” appeared in the search.

This function was renamed from the earlier "Goods Circle", which initially allowed users to browse good things recommended by friends and interact with them. Later, it became a semi-closed "WeChat Circle" with obvious social attributes.

According to the arrangement, WeChat Circles will close its interactive functions, stop adding new posts and comments on June 28, and close the entrance to the Circles. It will be completely closed on December 28 and will no longer operate.

Before the service is shut down, users can use the " Export personal homepage data " function to save the content they have posted in the circle.
