Another "world's best" is officially delivered!

On March 30, the reporter learned from China National Offshore Oil Corporation that the "North Pioneer", the world's largest DP shuttle tanker independently designed and built by my country, was officially delivered to China Shipbuilding Dalian Shipyard. The upgrade and application of related equipment technology has achieved a double breakthrough in the domestic shipping and shipbuilding industries.

The "North Pioneer" has completely independent intellectual property rights. The tanker has a deadweight of 155,000 tons, a total length of 279 meters, a beam of 48 meters, and a depth of 23.7 meters. It adopts industry-leading DP dynamic positioning technology and a new generation of bow loading system. It has stable position control functions and higher oil lifting safety guarantees. It is the first new DP tanker built in accordance with the latest technical specifications of Petrobras, and is also the largest DP tanker built in accordance with this standard in the world.

The ship has low energy consumption and good maneuverability. Its carbon emissions per unit deadweight ton of sailing mileage are about a quarter lower than the baseline value, which can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 7,000 tons per year .

It is reported that after delivery, the tanker will travel to Brazil to carry out oil extraction operations, providing guarantee for CNOOC's deep-sea oil extraction transportation in international waters.
