Currently, China is the world's largest new energy vehicle market. From January to September this year, new energy vehicles sold 2.157 million units, a year-on-year increase of 1.9 times, accounting for 11.6% of new car sales. Sales in September once again broke the monthly record. With the increase in the number of new energy vehicles, China's charging facilities network has gradually become more dense and complete.

The latest data from the China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance shows that as of September, the total number of charging infrastructure in the country has reached 2.223 million, a year-on-year increase of 56.8%. China has built the world's largest charging facility network.

Alliance data shows that in the first nine months, 237,000 new public charging piles were installed, a year-on-year increase of 164.5%. By the end of September, 1.044 million charging piles had been installed, a year-on-year increase of 72.3%.

The construction of more than 2 million charging piles is behind the substantial growth of private charging piles. At the same time, the battery swap network is also taking shape. Starting from the second half of this year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Energy Administration jointly launched a nationwide pilot project on the application of the battery swap model for new energy vehicles. Driven by relevant policies, the number of battery swap stations in my country has grown rapidly, from 555 at the end of 2020 to 890 at the end of September this year.
