Comparison: Real-world costs of electric and internal combustion vehicles report

Anderson Economic Group in the United States released a report titled "Comparison: The Real World Cost of Electric Vehicles and Internal Combustion Vehicles", which compared the actual cost of using electric vehicles and fuel vehicles and concluded that driving an electric vehicle is not cheaper than driving a fuel vehicle, and in some cases it may even be more expensive.

The study had four main findings:

1. In addition to electricity, electric vehicles have four additional costs: the cost of home charging stations, commercial charging costs, electric vehicle taxes and "empty miles", which are the miles wasted while searching for charging stations all over the world.

2. At present, the cost of charging an electric car is higher than the cost of refueling a fuel car, and the fuel consumption of the latter is more reasonable.

3. The difference in charging costs between different regions is greater than the difference in gasoline prices.

4. It takes a lot of time to find a reliable public charging station, and it takes at least 30 minutes to charge from 20% to 80%.
