What is the "lung adenocarcinoma" that the famous magician suffers from? Here is the prevention manual →

Recently, the famous magician Liu Qian was interviewed and diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma. He had completed surgery in February. He found a nodule in the middle and back of his lungs 3 or 4 years ago. Before this year's Spring Festival Gala, he was diagnosed with "stage zero lung adenocarcinoma." Because he was worried about his family history of genetic diseases and he liked to smoke, Liu Qian chose to have surgery early. Fortunately, Liu Qian's cancer was discovered in time and now only needs regular follow-up.

What is lung adenocarcinoma?

Lung adenocarcinoma is one of the main types of lung cancer. It originates from the bronchial mucosal epithelium and mucous glands. The early symptoms are not obvious, and there may be mild cough, chest pain, shortness of breath, etc. In the late stage, there will be symptoms such as weight loss, fatigue, hemoptysis, and dyspnea. Diagnosis mainly relies on imaging examinations such as chest X-ray, CT scan, PET-CT, and pathological examinations such as bronchoscopy and percutaneous lung puncture biopsy. The occurrence of lung adenocarcinoma is related to factors such as smoking, environmental pollution, and genetics. Early detection and treatment have relatively good results.

How to prevent lung adenocarcinoma?

1. Stay away from tobacco

Smoking is the primary risk factor for lung adenocarcinoma. Tobacco contains a variety of carcinogens, such as nicotine and tar. Long-term smoking can cause serious damage to the lungs. Not only is active smoking harmful, but passive "second-hand smoke" can also increase the risk of lung adenocarcinoma. Therefore, for the sake of your own and others' health, you should stay away from tobacco. If you are a smoker, you should quit smoking as soon as possible to reduce the continued damage to your lungs.

2. Maintain a healthy lifestyle

Reasonable diet: Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, such as broccoli, carrots, apples, etc. These foods are rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, which help protect lung cells from damage. Reduce the intake of high-fat, high-calorie, high-salt foods, and avoid excessive obesity, because obesity is also related to the occurrence of lung adenocarcinoma.

Moderate exercise: Adhere to moderate physical exercise, such as walking, running, swimming, yoga, etc., which can enhance cardiopulmonary function and improve body immunity. Perform at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise or 75 minutes of high-intensity aerobic exercise per week.

Get enough sleep: Get 7-8 hours of sleep a day to allow your body to rest and recover. Lack of sleep can affect the function of the immune system and increase the risk of illness.

3. Pay attention to environmental protection

Reduce air pollution: Try to avoid staying in heavily polluted environments for a long time, such as roads with traffic congestion, near factories, etc. In haze weather, you should reduce outdoor activities and wear a mask when going out to reduce the inhalation of harmful substances.

Avoid contact with harmful substances: If you are exposed to harmful substances such as asbestos, radon, arsenic, etc. at work, you should take effective protective measures, such as wearing protective masks, gloves, etc. When decorating your home, you should choose environmentally friendly materials and avoid using decoration materials containing harmful substances such as formaldehyde.

4. Regular physical examination

For high-risk groups such as those with a family history of lung adenocarcinoma, long-term smoking, and exposure to harmful substances, regular lung examinations such as chest X-rays and CT scans should be performed. Early detection of lung adenocarcinoma and timely treatment can greatly improve the cure rate and survival rate. Generally speaking, people over 40 years old should have a lung examination once a year.

As long as we are vigilant and take proactive preventive measures, we can effectively reduce the incidence and mortality of lung adenocarcinoma. Let us act together, take responsibility for our own and others' health, and stay away from the threat of lung adenocarcinoma.
