China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance: Ranking of domestic power battery manufacturers in January 2022

Recently, the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance released the top 15 rankings of domestic power battery companies installed in vehicles. Unsurprisingly, CATL, a domestic power battery manufacturer giant, continues to lead the country, with an installed capacity of 8.13GWh, ranking first in the rankings. What's more exaggerated is that its market share reached 50.24%, which is equivalent to surpassing the total installed capacity of hundreds of domestic manufacturers by its own strength, which shows its dominance in the domestic power battery market.

Ranked second is BYD, with an installed capacity of 3.39GWh and a domestic market share of 20.93%. Unlike most other manufacturers, BYD's batteries are almost all used for its own use. In other words, BYD's installed capacity of power batteries alone accounts for more than 20% of the entire domestic market.

From the side, we can also see the sales level of BYD's new energy vehicles in the Chinese market. According to data from January, BYD's new energy vehicle sales were 93,168 units, a year-on-year increase of 361%, and it is also the sales champion of new energy vehicles in China.

As for other companies, the third to tenth rankings are China Innovation Aviation (AVIC Lithium Battery), Guoxuan High-tech, Honeycomb Energy, EVE Energy, Farasis Energy, Xinwangda, Jiewei Power, and Tafel.

In addition, it is worth mentioning that recently, CATL held an investor research and communication meeting. During the meeting, Zeng Minqun revealed that other players will rely on price to grab the market, but CATL's cost must be the lowest and its supply reliability is the highest.
