Cadillac will launch the domestically produced XT7 to enter the Chinese market

Recently, we learned from relevant channels that Cadillac will launch a seven-seat SUV model in the Chinese market in the future - Cadillac XT7, and this model may be produced domestically. It is reported that the new car is built on GM's new generation long wheelbase platform, and after its launch, it will compete with the BMW X5 and Audi Q7 and other models of the same level.

In terms of appearance, the Cadillac XT7 adopts the latest family design style of Cadillac. In the front part, the model adopts a large-size front air intake grille. In the rear part, the new car adopts a square design, similar to the Escalade model. In terms of space layout, it may adopt a seven-seat layout.

In terms of power, the Cadillac XT7 model may be equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine, which may be matched with an 8-speed manual transmission.

According to a person related to Cadillac, 95% of Cadillac models will be produced locally by 2018. The Jinqiao plant built in early 2016 has an annual production capacity of 160,000 units, which will lay a solid foundation for Cadillac's localization plan. In the future, the Cadillac XT7 model may be put into production at the Cadillac-exclusive Jinqiao plant, and after its launch, it will compete with the BMW X5 and Audi Q7 models of the same level.
