The report pointed out that while SAIC Motor is conservative about its plan to export vehicles to the United States, GAC Motor's plan to enter the US market is still proceeding normally and plans to enter the US market in 2019.

Michael Yang, director of SAIC Motor's international business department, said on April 19 that SAIC will continue to implement its plan to enter the US market once the US-China trade policy becomes clear. At present, the EU market is more important than the US market. "At present, Europe and China are our key markets." Just before the news that SAIC had shelved its plan to enter the United States was made public, the US President said in an interview that he would not engage in a trade war with my country because "when we are working with China to solve a bigger problem, to start a trade war with China? Unlike SAIC, GAC is still planning to sell Trumpchi brand vehicles in the United States. Yu Jun said that GAC plans to enter the US market in 2019 and promote Trumpchi to become a global brand.
