Honda released its terminal car sales in China in March. Data showed that Honda's terminal car sales in China in March totaled 82,000 units, down 18.8% year-on-year. Among them, GAC Honda's terminal cumulative sales in March were 41,813 units; Dongfeng Honda's terminal cumulative sales in March were 40,228 units.

In fact, this is also the consecutive month that Honda's sales have continued to decline. From January to March this year, Honda's cumulative terminal car sales in China were 220,367 units, a year-on-year decrease of 37.7%, a decrease of nearly 40%, which continues to refresh Honda's sales decline record in China in recent years.

Not only Honda's sales have declined, but among Japanese cars, only Toyota has been able to basically maintain its sales. Nissan's sales in China in the first quarter were 161,961 units, a year-on-year decrease of 36.8%, a decline almost the same as Honda's.

In contrast, BYD is now experiencing a full-scale explosion. BYD's announcement shows that as of the end of March, its cumulative sales this year reached 552,076 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 92.81%. Both in terms of sales volume and growth rate, it has reached the first level among domestic automakers.

It is worth mentioning that it is not only BYD, but also Chinese independent brands are rising strongly with the strong growth of new energy vehicles, which has also snatched a lot of market share from Japanese cars. If Japanese cars still cannot reverse the passive situation in the new energy market, their future sales may be even bleaker.
