National Computer Virus Center releases list of illegal apps and SDKs

On September 15, the National Computer Virus Center released the "Mobile APP Illegal and Irregular Issues and Governance Measures". Among them, there are six major types of problems in APP and SDK, including eight types of malicious behaviors such as remote control and malicious deductions, suspected infringement of citizens' personal privacy, suspected excessive collection of citizens' personal privacy, etc. Among them, MOMO (version 8.18.7), Toutiao (version 7.2.7), JD Finance (version: 5.2.32), Cloud QuickPass (version: 6.2.6) and other applications with high download volume are also on the list.

From 2016 to date, the National Computer Virus Center has been responsible for 24/7 security monitoring and disposal of mobile apps nationwide for more than 400 application distribution channels at home and abroad. It has crawled a total of 6.94 million mobile application apps, conducted security inspections on 30,515 apps, and detected more than 8,000 malicious samples.

Through the CNAAC mobile Internet application security management and control platform, the virus conducts technical monitoring of APP distribution platforms across the country, and promptly discovers, reports and handles APP violations. So far, a total of 38,434 illegal and harmful mobile APPs have been discovered and reported for removal, involving 300 mobile distribution platforms. A total of 1,003,076 APPs have been found in the black sample library, 1,537 free tests have been provided to the public, and 180 reports have been received from the public.
