Automatic warning of risky transactions! WeChat Pay's "anti-fraud customer service reminder" function is launched

On December 14, the WeChat official account announced that WeChat Pay has officially launched the "Anti-Fraud Customer Service Reminder" function.

It is reported that when users encounter risky transactions during the payment process, an "Answer Reminder" button will pop up on the payment interface. Tencent Cloud Intelligent Service will provide real-time online customer service to assist users in judging current transaction risks and provide effective risk warnings, further protecting users' property safety.

In addition, WeChat officials gave an example that when Mr. Zhang from Yunnan received a call from WeChat Pay customer service recently, he was in the process of transferring 190,000 yuan.

Mr. Zhang said that he met a "goddess" on a video platform. The "goddess" took the initiative to ask Mr. Zhang to add her on WeChat, and the two got along very well.

However, before they met in person, the girl fell ill. Less than a week later, the "goddess" took the opportunity to ask Mr. Zhang to borrow 190,000 yuan for her medical treatment. Mr. Zhang, who thought he had found true love, decided to go crazy for love and initiated a transfer without any hesitation. While he was operating, a voice reminder of WeChat payment appeared on the transfer page.

After understanding Mr. Zhang's transaction scenario, WeChat Pay customer service judged based on experience that Mr. Zhang might have fallen into a dating scam. They then patiently explained to Mr. Zhang the methods of dating scam and suggested that he cancel the payment. Only then did Mr. Zhang suddenly realize the truth.
