According to information released by China Biologic, this clinical trial is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase I/II clinical study. On April 27, the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine obtained a clinical trial approval certificate, and Phase I/II clinical trials were simultaneously launched in Shangqiu County, Henan Province.

The world's largest COVID-19 vaccine production workshop has been built in Beijing, China. The Beijing Institute of Biological Products completed the construction of the workshop on April 15 in just two months. After preliminary on-site evaluation by national biosafety experts, the construction standards and quality levels meet the biosafety protection requirements.
