How to take a photo using WeChat on PC? Introduction to the use of WeChat Tap on PC

Can I use WeChat Tap on PC? Everyone is worried about this problem. The mobile version has added a new "tap" function. Everyone is still very interested in this function, but some people cannot tap on the computer. What is going on? Below I will share with you the details of the computer version of Tap.

How to use WeChat Tap on PC

On the afternoon of June 17, WeChat’s new feature “Tap” was launched. For the whole day afterwards, most of the active WeChat groups that the president belonged to were filled with people taking photos of each other.
This functionality is constantly being tweaked on the server side. Initially, only the iOS version of WeChat could see the records of taking and being photographed. Then, at noon on the 18th, the Android version of WeChat could also retain the records of taking photos, while the PC version of WeChat could see but not take photos.
In the new version 7.0.16, when you double-click a friend’s avatar, the avatar will first “tremble”, and a text prompt “You took a photo of XX” will be displayed below the chat history. In fact, this feature can also be experienced in 7.0.15, you can try it. Tencent’s QQ previously had such a design, called “Poke”. The basic function is similar, which is to replace the phrase "Are you there?" which is often used in groups.
Compared with QQ's "Poke", WeChat's "Tap" differentiates usage scenarios. For example, when you "take a photo of someone else" in a group, there will be a brief vibration feedback, but there will be no such feedback when chatting alone (only the avatar will shake and there will be text prompts). Overall, as a reminder function, “Tap” still feels a bit weak. Of course, WeChat’s original intention may be to avoid “disturbance to the public”, but… letting users not see the reminders is not acceptable either!
