The official WeChat account of the Shanghai Second Intermediate People's Court announced on the evening of July 10 that in the case of defendants Wang Zhenhua and Zhou Yanfen molesting children, the Shanghai Second Intermediate People's Court has received the appeal materials of defendants Wang Zhenhua and Zhou Yanfen transferred by the Pudong District People's Court of Shanghai, and accepted the case on July 10, 2020.

This court will conduct a second-instance trial of the case in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Law of the People's Republic of China.

On June 16, the Pudong District Court of Shanghai held a closed trial in accordance with the law on the child molestation case of defendants Wang Zhenhua and Zhou Yanfen. On June 17, the Putuo District Court made a verdict on the defendants Wang Zhenhua and Zhou Yanfen in court, sentencing the defendant Wang Zhenhua to five years in prison and the defendant Zhou Yanfen to four years in prison for the crime of child molestation.
