It’s the annual season for eating wild mushrooms again! For Yunnan people, June to October every year is a happy “mushroom-eating time”. But along with it comes news of poisoning from eating wild mushrooms. The Yunnan Provincial Health Commission sent multiple text messages a day to remind people to be careful. Netizens in Yunnan said one after another: Got it! Netizens from all over the country also had heated discussions on this. In order to help people recognize fungi more clearly and eat them with peace of mind, the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Yunnan Key Laboratory of Fungal Diversity and Green Development jointly released the "Common Toxic Fungi (Poisonous Mushrooms) in Yunnan 2022 Edition". The 2022 edition partially updates the species in the previous plates and enlarges the photos in the plates for easier identification. This updated plate includes two plates with 24 common poisonous mushrooms in Yunnan. Video source: CCTV.com Doctors warn that if you experience dizziness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, irritability, hallucinations and other symptoms after eating wild mushrooms, you may be poisoned by wild mushrooms. If you are poisoned by wild mushrooms, you should immediately take self-help measures and seek medical attention in time. Drink a large amount of water at least 1000 ml at the first time. After drinking, use a spoon or chopsticks to press the root of the tongue to vomit out the food you have eaten repeatedly until clear water comes out, so as to minimize the absorption of toxins in the gastrointestinal tract. In addition, if you are poisoned, you should immediately go to a regular hospital for treatment or call 120 emergency number. Mushrooms are delicious but also "hidden dangers". Remember not to pick them randomly or eat them blindly. If you experience symptoms of poisoning, you must seek medical attention as soon as possible and do not delay treatment.
