Manas. Manas is a traditional folk literature of Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang. It was born in the 9th and 10th centuries AD and has been passed down orally to this day. People call the folk singers who sing Manas Manaschi. Manas describes the story of Manas and his seven generations of descendants leading the Kirgiz people to fight against foreign invaders. The whole epic consists of eight parts, namely "Manas", "Saimeitai", "Saiyitaik", "Kainaimu", "Saiyit", "Aselbacha and Bekbacha", "Sombilik" and "Qigtai".
