At 10:25 today, the Beijing Meteorological Observatory issued a blue warning for sandstorms: Affected by cold air, strong winds and upstream transport, sandstorms are expected in the city from 11:00 to 17:00 on the 25th, please take precautions.

As of 11:00 today, Haidian has reached severe pollution, Mentougou and Yanqing are slightly polluted, and the air quality in other districts is temporarily "good".

The Beijing Ecological Environment Monitoring Center stated that sandstorms are expected to affect the city from 11:00 to 12:00 with the northwest airflow. Since Beijing is in the front of a cold high pressure today, strong northwest winds continue, and the range of the sandstorms is relatively small. It is expected to affect the city from noon to afternoon today. The affected period is about 5 hours, and the PM10 peak can reach heavy and severe pollution levels. The PM10 average for the whole day is expected to be good to light pollution.

According to the forecast, the sandstorm will move out of the city around 17:00, and diffusion conditions will be favorable at night, so the air quality is expected to return to a good level.

At 11:00 today, Beijing Meteorological Observatory issued the latest weather forecast: cloudy to sunny this afternoon, accompanied by blowing sand, north wind about level 4 (gusts level 7 or 8), maximum temperature 22℃; clear at night, north to south wind about level 2, minimum temperature 5℃. Blue warning for strong wind and sandstorm, pay attention to wind, sand and fire prevention; large temperature difference between day and night, pay attention to adjust clothing and beware of cold.
