Beijing's Central Axis, an axis that carries hundreds of years of history and cultural heritage, has witnessed countless changes and transitions. With the acceleration of modernization, Beijing's Central Axis and its surrounding areas are also facing the dual challenges of protection and development. In this context, it is particularly important for ordinary people to participate in the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage.

We have also done some related work. Our unit has been producing cultural and creative products for six or seven years, including various cultural and creative products such as backpacks, rulers, coasters, mouse pads, and scrolls. This is how we let the public and social participants understand the central axis.

Because we are a surveying and mapping department, an important explanation of "surveying" and "mapping" is maps. We have also produced some related special professional maps and provided some related services to the public. At the same time, through these maps and cultural creation, we have also carried out some popular science activities in primary schools, middle schools and high schools. Our product technology has entered the classroom, so that students can understand what our surveying and mapping is all about and how it can be applied to the protection of the entire heritage culture.

We also cooperated with other departments to do some related exhibitions, such as the light and shadow show in the Drum Tower, where the physical map was displayed through light and shadow, which made it more vivid.

Liang Sicheng once said that there are many nodes on the central axis, but you cannot have a panoramic view from any one point.

However, through surveying and mapping, we can achieve real-life 3D modeling, and then through different ways of expression, we can see everything at a glance. I know their mutual relationships, their proportional relationships, and their angular relationships, and even the proportions of these cultural relics can be systematically displayed. Even a child who doesn't come to Beijing can get our cultural and creative products, or some maps or related materials, and intuitively understand the current status of the knowledge of the Central Axis heritage.

I would like to share with you my own experience of growing up. It takes about four steps to grow from a cultural relic lover to a cultural relic protector. The first step is to visit various cultural heritage sites , such as visiting the Forbidden City to see the Great Wall, and visiting the Dule Temple in Ji County. When you visit these cultural heritage sites in depth, you will have a better understanding of them, and you will also be able to find out whether you like Buddha statues, painted patterns, or architectural components.

Both teachers have said a lot just now. My feeling is about two aspects. First of all, from our perspective, we must use scientific and technological means to help everyone raise awareness of cultural heritage protection.

Through testing, evaluation, digitization and other means, we can present the exquisiteness of the architectural heritage and some parts that are invisible to the audience, such as some structures in the ceiling caisson and some exquisite patterns, so that everyone can see the preciousness and value of cultural heritage and raise everyone's awareness of protection. This is one aspect.

Another aspect is public participation, which increases everyone's initiative. After everyone realizes that cultural heritage needs to be passed on, we actively spread the protection of cultural heritage through various means.

In addition, we should start with ourselves, at least do not scribble on cultural relics, do not climb on them, etc., or take the initiative to stop others from destroying them. We should raise everyone's awareness and jointly protect our precious cultural heritage.
