Spy photos of the suspected new generation Giulietta will be released before 2020

Recently, overseas media exposed a group of spy photos of Alfa Romeo's new 5-door hatchback compact car, which is likely to be an early test model of the new generation Giulietta. According to our previous reports on Alfa Romeo's new car plan, the new car may be launched on the market before 2020. Unlike the current Giulietta, the rear door handles of the spy car adopt a traditional design, but their style and installation position are rather strange. Therefore, foreign media speculate that the new generation of models will still hide the rear door handles in the C-pillar position like the current models. The spy car still uses the current Giulietta model's frame, but its engine cover has an obvious bulge, so foreign media speculate that this spy car is likely to be used to test a new engine. It is reported that the new generation Giulietta will be built on the Giorgio rear-wheel drive platform of the Giulia/Stelvio model, so the new car is likely to change from the current model's front-engine front-wheel drive layout to a front-engine rear-wheel drive layout. The new car plan we reported earlier shows that Alfa Romeo officials have not yet determined whether the hatchback model launched before 2020 will continue to use the Giulietta name, so it only appears in the plan as a "hatchback".
