Chrysler CES releases electric concept car with elevator door opening and closing

Fiat Chrysler will release its first pure electric self-driving concept car at this year's CES. Unlike those sports car concept cars that strive to be cool in appearance, Chrysler Portal aims to create a "third space" for the "millennial generation" in addition to home and office, building a bridge between home and work with an open and quiet atmosphere.

The Portal electric concept car has a range of up to 402 km and can be fully charged to more than 50% in 2.5 hours through 350 kW DC fast charging. The door is also very special and can be opened and closed like an elevator. In terms of safety, facial and voice recognition technology is integrated in the car. Equipped with lidar, radar, ultrasonic and camera sensors, Portal will also have level 3 to 4 autonomous driving functions.

To cater to the millennial generation's enthusiasm for social media, the car is equipped with a selfie camera for owners and passengers to take selfies and upload them to social media at any time. At the same time, the car will adopt a zoned audio design, which means that owners and passengers can choose to listen to music separately without disturbing each other.
