Analyst: China's business has become a burden for Apple

To be more precise, they are not optimistic about Apple's performance in China in 2017. According to Weiphone.com, Steve Milunovich, an analyst at UBS Group, said in a report that Apple's business in China has become a burden for them, as iPhone sales in other regions have room for growth, but not in China.

The report said that iPhone sales in China are expected to decline by 7% in 2017. This means that if Apple wants to achieve its annual growth target of 4%, iPhone sales in other regions must increase by 8% or more.

Apple's performance has declined for three consecutive quarters, with its business in China declining sharply. Industry insiders believe that the rise of Chinese local mobile phone brands is the main reason for Apple's cold reception. Apple launched the mid-range iPhone SE in March last year, but this phone, which is considered to be aimed at emerging markets, has not been successful in China. In fact, the best-selling iPhone models in China have always been the latest flagship models, such as the current iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

However, the continued weakness in business has not dispelled Apple's confidence in the Chinese market. In addition to continuing to open official Apple Store retail stores in China, the company has also invested in building research and development centers in Beijing, Shenzhen and other places.
