According to public information from the Haidian Court, the defendant Pang and five others were prosecuted by the procuratorate for the crime of destroying computer systems because they purchased the "Didi Driver Assistant" software and modified the data between the "Didi Driver" servers to achieve the purposes of "rejecting orders" and "changing the place of receiving orders" without being punished by the platform. The case has been accepted by the Beijing Haidian Court. The prosecution alleged that in August 2015, the defendant Pang established the Extreme Communication Center in Jinfeng District, Yinchuan City, and later recruited the defendants Chen, Jia, and Xiao as employees of his company. From May to August 2016, the defendant Pang, together with Chen, Jia and Xiao, purchased the "Didi Driver Assistant" software from others and sold it through the Extreme Communication Center of Jinfeng District, Yinchuan City. During this period, the defendant Liu was responsible for the agency, promotion and sale of the above software. After verification, the above five people made a total of 48,200 yuan in illegal income from the sale of the "Didi Driver Assistant" software. Didi discovered abnormal orders through big data. Reporters learned that brushing orders is common on various online car-hailing platforms. Previously, some drivers brushed orders by purchasing multiple mobile phone numbers to obtain platform subsidies. With the "technical upgrade", a new cheating software "Didi Driver Assistant" has emerged to help drivers gain benefits. It is reported that after Didi drivers purchase the "Didi Driver Assistant" software, they can not only use the software to maliciously brush orders, but also screen and refuse to carry passengers, which seriously disrupts the market order and brings inconvenience to citizens' travel. "For example, when you order a car through the Didi platform, you can see that there are many cars nearby on the page, but the system sends a car far away to the user, resulting in a long waiting time; or after placing an order, the system sends a nearby car but the order is directly rejected. These cannot rule out the possibility that the cheating device is playing tricks." When the software entered the market, Didi discovered anomalies through big data monitoring. After confirming the clues of the case, it reported the case to the police as soon as possible. Based on the cheating driver information provided by Didi, the police quickly locked the suspect. The platform has completely banned cheating software. It is understood that according to the technical principles of the cheating device, Didi has developed a strategy model to identify cheating orders. Once a driver is found to use a cheating device, it will be banned immediately. At present, the "Didi Driver Assistant" software has been successfully "destroyed" and can no longer be used on the platform after inspection. Didi said that the company has established a good communication mechanism with the public security organs and will fully cooperate with the public security organs to crack down on illegal and criminal acts once they are discovered.
