Lexus UX, an entry-level SUV for young people, is about to debut

Currently, Lexus' entry-level SUV is the mid-size SUV Lexus NX. Recently, overseas media reported that Lexus will launch a compact SUV Lexus UX. The actual photos of the concept car have been exposed, and the mass-produced version is expected to be officially unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The mass-produced version of the Lexus UX will be built based on the Lexus UX concept car, and the mass-produced version will retain a large number of design elements of the concept car. The new car is positioned as a compact SUV, which is lower than the Lexus NX. In the future, it will mainly compete with models such as the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA and Audi Q3.

In 2017, Lexus' cumulative sales in China reached 132,900 units, a year-on-year increase of 21.73%. Against the backdrop of luxury brands accelerating domestic production, it is not easy to achieve such results through pure import sales. The arrival of the new Lexus UX will further lower the price range of Lexus and fill the gap in Lexus' compact SUV products. I believe that with the youthful design and lower price of Lexus UX, many young people will pay for it.
