PSA joins hands with Huawei to create a connected car phone to take over all car information

During the Hannover Industrial Fair (April 23-27), the new model DS7 Crossback of the Peugeot Citroen Group (PSA) equipped with Huawei's Internet of Vehicles technology was unveiled at the Huawei booth. This is the first cooperative model after PSA and Huawei announced their cooperation in the Internet of Vehicles project in November 2017. The partnership between the two parties will cover all connected vehicles of the PSA Group.

PSA Group uses Huawei's OceanConnect Internet of Things (IoT) platform to build the CVMP platform (Connected Vehicle Modular Platform) for its connected vehicles. DS7 Crossback is the first vehicle built by PSA using its CVMP platform.

Huawei IoT Connection Management Platform is a unified open cloud platform for operators and enterprises/industries, supporting various connections and connection management in SIM and non-SIM scenarios. Through open APIs and unique Agents, it integrates various industry applications upward and connects to various sensors, terminals and gateways downward, helping operators and enterprise/industry customers to quickly access various industry terminals and quickly integrate various industry applications.

OceanConnect is an open ecosystem built on technologies such as the Internet of Things, cloud computing, and big data. Based on Huawei's IoT connection management platform, OceanConnect provides a variety of APIs and serialized agents to achieve seamless connection between upstream and downstream products. The platform adapts to various network environments and protocol types, supports rapid access to various types of smart devices, and effectively reduces the cost of partners.

Customers can access new services such as connected navigation, natural language voice recognition and a connected services portal through the vehicle's dashboard screen, and can also get the vehicle's maintenance status and past trips and driving patterns from their smartphone. New services for private customers and fleet managers will be added to these functions regularly. These services include infotainment services, remote software updates and navigation maps, personal assistants, remote vehicle diagnostics and maintenance functions, as well as services useful for car rental companies, fleet managers and car sharing operators.

Huawei's OceanConnect IoT platform underpins Huawei's connected car solutions. All digital interactions between the car and the cloud are secure; customer and car data are encrypted, guaranteeing their integrity, authenticity and confidentiality.
