Tesla officially resumes domestic Model 3 production, with current production capacity of 3,000 vehicles per week

Affected by the epidemic, Tesla's Shanghai Super Factory, which had been waiting for a year, was forced to stop production, which directly affected the delivery of Tesla cars in China. Recently, foreign media revealed that Tesla has resumed the production and delivery of Model 3 at the Shanghai Super Factory.

In terms of details, as early as February 10, Tesla had already started transporting employees to the factory by bus and started the production of Model 3. Interestingly, it was during the epidemic that Tesla also reached a cooperation with battery supplier LG Chem. Perhaps, we will see the domestically produced Model 3 equipped with LG Chem batteries in the near future.

The epidemic has had two impacts on Tesla. First, Tesla's stock price was greatly affected during the stagnation of domestic Model 3. Second, it affected Tesla's delivery pace, causing domestic consumers to wait longer.

According to Tesla, the current Model 3 production capacity of the Shanghai Super Factory is 3,000 vehicles per week. It is believed that after resuming production, the imbalance between supply and demand can be alleviated.
