NIO receives RMB 7 billion investment and moves its headquarters to Hefei

In terms of details, according to NIO, Hefei Construction Investment Holding (Group) Co., Ltd. and three other companies invested RMB 7 billion in NIO China. After the transaction is completed, NIO will hold 75.9% of the shares and strategic investors will hold 24.1% of the shares.

At the same time, after obtaining investment, NIO needs to establish a new headquarters in Hefei to be responsible for a series of tasks including vehicle research and development, sales, and supply chain control.

According to Qichacha data, NIO has not received any large-scale financing since it received a RMB 10 billion investment from Yizhuang State Investment on May 28, 2019. As NIO can enjoy special subsidies, the RMB 7 billion financing will surely give NIO a strong impetus.
