Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Operation status of photovoltaic rolled glass industry in the first half of 2022

In the first half of 2022, the production capacity of photovoltaic rolled glass increased by 121.6% year-on-year. In June, the output and price of photovoltaic rolled glass industry increased rapidly, but the inventory was high.

In the first half of the year, there were 38 companies in production, with 109 kilns and 348 production lines in operation, with a capacity of 64,000 tons/day, and 93 kilns and 313 production lines in production, with a capacity of 59,000 tons/day. The cumulative output of photovoltaic rolled glass was 6.856 million tons, an increase of 48.7% year-on-year. Among them, the output of photovoltaic rolled glass in June was 1.335 million tons, an increase of 55.1% year-on-year. The average inventory at the end of June was about 18 days.

In the first half of the year, the average prices of 2mm and 3.2mm photovoltaic rolled glass were 20.9 yuan/m2 and 27.1 yuan/m2, down 21.3% and 15.3% year-on-year. In particular, the average prices of 2mm and 3.2mm photovoltaic rolled glass in June were 22.1 yuan/m2 and 28.4 yuan/m2, up 18.9% and 35.7% year-on-year.
