iOS 17.3 battery life test for various devices, a retirement version!

This week, Apple released the official version of iOS 17.3 system update, which brought a wave of new features, including a stolen device protection switch, new wallpapers, collaborative playlists, and fixed multiple vulnerabilities.

iOS 17.3 is a major version update of iOS 17. The overall experience is good in all aspects, but many users who have not upgraded are very concerned about the battery life of the new version of the system. Now foreign blogger iAppleBytes once again sends us a battery life test of the official version of iOS 17.3. Let's take a look!

The testing method is the same as before. The blogger still found five iPhone models, namely iPhone SE 2020, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, and iPhone 13.

iAppleBytes used the battery test function provided by the GeekBench tool to compare the running scores and automatic shutdown time of five iPhones after upgrading to iOS 17.3.

Before the test, the screen brightness of each phone was adjusted to 25%, and the automatic brightness adjustment function was turned off (maintaining the same settings as when testing previous iOS versions). Each iPhone ran GeekBench from full power until it automatically shut down. Compared with the test results of previous versions, the results under the iOS 17.3 system are as follows:

Overall, the overall performance of the five models running iOS 17.3 is good, with little change compared to previous versions. Except for the slightly reduced battery life of iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 models, the battery life of other models has been improved after upgrading to the official version of iOS 17.3.

However, it should be noted that the test results of GeekBench are different from actual daily use, so these data are for reference only. In fact, every time Apple updates a version, users will have different opinions on battery life. After all, everyone's usage is different.
