The word "hope" is enough to reflect the helplessness of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The defects of the domestic operating system make it have no advantage in market competition. To save the domestic operating system, it is better to rely on its own changes rather than relying on the "hope" of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It should be noted that the domestic operating system "You Kylin" mentioned in the report is not a completely domestic product. Like Hongqi Linux, "You Kylin" is also developed based on an international open source platform. Using foreign open source platforms to develop operating systems is more convenient than independent development, but it also eliminates the competitive advantages of domestic operating systems. Foreign countries have a longer history of research and development on these platforms and have produced relatively reliable and stable systems. Users are not willing to risk system crashes and use unstable domestic operating systems. At the same time, domestic operating systems are often criticized as "shell-changing" systems. Some domestic companies cheat funds by changing the shell of foreign operating systems. This phenomenon not only wastes a lot of scientific research resources, but also damages the public's trust in domestic operating systems. At the same time, the rampant domestic pirated systems have also made domestic operating systems lose their price advantage. The price of genuine Windows systems is high, and free domestic systems should have great price advantages. However, pirated Windows discs at 5 yuan a piece and Windows images that can be downloaded at will on the Internet have eliminated the price advantage of domestic operating systems. The lack of intellectual property protection in my country has invisibly strangled the survival of domestic operating systems. What makes domestic systems unpopular is the poor application adaptability. Many software required for work cannot run on domestic operating systems at all, even QQ and stock trading software that everyone is used to. It can be said that among the domestic operating systems so far, only Hongqi Linux has truly reached the level of being able to be used in practice. Even if an impractical operating system is free, users will not be interested. To save the domestic operating system, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology should not "hope", but strictly control the funds, do not let the "re-shell" project be launched easily, and spend money where it counts; the government should crack down on piracy and give the domestic operating system a good living space; related companies need to take the initiative to solve the system adaptability problem, rather than waiting for manufacturers to cooperate.
