Most of Beijing's 100M broadband services are fake

Recently, the Beijing Science and Technology Journalists and Editors Association released the "2014 Beijing Internet Speed Evaluation Report" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report"). The "Report" shows that only Beijing Unicom and Beijing Telecom meet the 10M bandwidth download speed requirement, and most of the 100M broadbands on the market are fake. According to reports, the "Report" collected speed test activities conducted by thousands of netizens in Beijing through online Weibo, WeChat public accounts, websites, and offline methods. Within two weeks, the organizer sorted out 16 data submitted by each netizen at different times, screened and counted them, and finally formed the "Report". The "Report" statistically compared the download speed of 10M users and found that, based on the operator classification, only Beijing Unicom and Beijing Telecom can meet the standard speed required by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The "Report" also tested the 100M broadband that is currently on the market. In the statistics of 100M broadband, whether during the day or at night, the first-level operators (Beijing Unicom and Beijing Telecom) can achieve a download speed of more than 10m/s, which meets the requirements. The download speed of second- and third-tier operators (Broadband, Great Wall Broadband, etc.) is only 2m/s at night and 4m/s during the day, which is far below the requirement of 100M broadband.
