TechInsights: The total revenue of the top 25 global semiconductor companies in 2023 will be US$516.827 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 11%

Semiconductor research organization TechInsights released a ranking of the world's top 25 semiconductor companies in 2023 based on sales revenue.

It should be noted that many companies have not yet announced their fourth-quarter 2023 results, so this ranking is an estimated value and may change later.

In 2023, the names of the TOP25 semiconductor companies remained unchanged, with a total revenue of US$516.827 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 11%. Among them, the top ten companies had a total revenue of US$357.77 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 9%.

TSMC ranked first with US$68.852 billion, followed by Intel with US$51.401 billion, but they fell by 9% and 16%, respectively.

NVIDIA is the brightest star. Under the wave of AI, its revenue has doubled to US$49.565 billion, and its ranking has soared from eighth to third.

Samsung ranked first last year, but this year its revenue plummeted 37% to only US$48.304 billion, ranking fourth.

Following them are: Qualcomm, Broadcom, SK Hynix, AMD, Infineon, STMicroelectronics, Texas Instruments, Apple, Micron, MediaTek, NXP Semiconductors (NXP), ADI, Sony, Renesas, Microchip, ON Semiconductor, GlobalFoundries UMC, Kioxia, SMIC, and Western Digital.

Among the companies on the list, only seven achieved positive growth , with NVIDIA reaching an astonishing 102%, while the others did not exceed 10%.

By region, the United States accounts for fully half with 13 companies, Taiwan, Japan, and Europe each have 3 companies, South Korea has 2 companies, and mainland China has only 1 company - SMIC ranks 24th with US$6.296 billion, up one place from the previous year.
