Early this morning, Apple released the new generation of iPod touch, Shuffle and Nano digital music players, with new colors. "Music" has always been an important gene of Apple. Of course, in the commercial world, the new iPod touch is not just a product made for "sentiment". It was launched to cater to Apple Music, an online music service launched by Apple during this year's Worldwide Developers Conference. When there were rumors that the iPod would be evaluated and abandoned, the appearance of these products dispelled the rumors. The iPod touch is the most obviously updated of the three products. It is equipped with an 8-megapixel iSight camera, A8 processor and M8 motion coprocessor. As for the screen and other aspects, the new iPod touch maintains the level of the previous one: 4-inch Retina display with a resolution of 1136x640 pixels; supports 1080p HD video shooting (30 fps), slow motion video (120 fps), time-lapse video, cinema-level video stabilization function, optimized facial recognition function, 3x zoom; supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless network and Bluetooth 4.1 technology. But this product, like its predecessor, still does not have a GPS chip. It has been reported before that this is because its body space is limited and there is no room for a GPS chip... Although it does not have touchID fingerprint recognition, the processor of this product is the same as that of iPhone 6, and the price is only US$199 (domestic price starts at RMB 1,498, 16GB). But does the same processor mean the same performance? Someone has already done a benchmark test on the new iPod touch, and compared to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus equipped with the same processor, the new iPod touch's benchmark result is about 15% lower. The reason for the low score is that the CPU frequency of the new iPod touch always runs at around 1.10GHz, while the iPhone 6 can run at 1.39Ghz. Foreign media analyzed that Apple did this mainly for battery life considerations, and no one wants their music player to be charged as frequently as their mobile phone. For most people, this performance is enough (better than iPhone 5s). In China, the new iPod touch's 16GB version is priced at 1,498 yuan, the 32GB version is priced at 1,898 yuan, the 64GB version is priced at 2,298 yuan, and the 128GB version is priced at 2,988 yuan. This price cannot be compared with a large number of domestic mobile phones that are competing hard, but it is better than Apple's own products, whether it is the iPhone or iPad series. If your main mobile phone is Android, and you want to experience the iOS system but don't want a big phone like iPad and don't have the budget to buy an iPhone, the new iPod touch is a good choice.
