AMD Pro A12 Carrizo power consumption reduced to 12W

AMD Pro A12 "Carrizo" APU mobile platform has lower power consumption, and industry TPU rumors say that the TDP can be as low as 12W (in normal mode).

According to previous statements and the details we have, the core 28NM process will not change, but it will be more energy-efficient after optimization. So why is that? We know that the recently released AMD PRO A12 APU uses a quad-core excavator core architecture. The new decoding engine and the internal core graphics developed by AMD further improve the power management mode, so this product will be more energy-efficient. This also illustrates a problem. Energy saving does not necessarily rely on the core process to be perfected. There is still room for the architecture and optimization itself, which can be seen from R9 NANO and R9 FURY X.

The recently launched AMD PRO A12 series includes A12-8800B/A10-8700B and A8 8600B, which use the "Excavator" module (four CPU cores), integrate a Radeon R7 (8 GPU Cores), GCN 512 stream processors, 2 MB cache, and dual-channel DDR3-2133 memory controller.
