iPhone 7 Plus dual camera leak: no optical image stabilization

Well-known industry analyst @孙昌旭 broke the news on Weibo today that the iPhone 7 Plus does not have optical image stabilization, but only dual autofocus, because the magnetic interference problem between the dual cameras cannot be solved. Next year, Huawei and Apple will see who will be the first to launch a dual-camera phone with optical image stabilization.

She explained that optical image stabilization requires a gyroscope sensor, and the dual cameras are too close to each other to solve the problem of magnetic interference, so it cannot be used at present. However, Apple and Huawei are working hard, and there are two possibilities for the next generation of products: AF+OIS, or OIS+OIS.

If the news is true, the iPhone 7 Plus dual-camera will not have optical image stabilization, while the iPhone 7 single-camera version will retain it, which is exactly the opposite of the iPhone 6s.

Even without dual cameras, the iPhone 7 Plus's photo-taking performance is still worth looking forward to. It is definitely better than the single-camera version of the iPhone 7 in terms of blur and depth of field.
