iOS upgrades stagnate, app crash rates slowly decrease

According to the weekly report released by Testin Cloud Testing on January 25, the share of iOS8.1.2 has only increased from 32% last week to 34% this week. More than half of users of iOS7 and below may still be considering whether to upgrade to the latest version of iOS8.1.2. The problem of iOS8 upgrade still exists. About 1GB of upgrade requires 4.6GB of space to install through OTA, and most iOS terminal users with 16G configuration will not have such a large amount of free space, so the motivation to delete files for upgrade is naturally insufficient.

Relatively speaking, Android 4.0 and above "Ice Cream Sandwich" has become the mainstream of the market. Although OEM terminal manufacturers are slow to upgrade the latest terminal versions that have been released, for Android developers, at least they don't have to worry too much about version compatibility issues caused by fragmentation below 4.0.

In addition, the report from Tesitn Cloud Testing also shows that although the average operation failure rate of mobile apps has decreased, it is still hovering above 12%, but the crash rate has dropped compared to more than 3% last week, hovering at 2.76%.
