iOS 12.1.2 shows 4G but can't connect to the Internet? Here is a temporary solution

A few days ago, after Apple pushed the iOS 12.1.2 system to users for a while, some users reported a bug: even though the phone's signal icon was displayed normally, they were unable to use the data network to connect to the Internet. Currently, some foreign players have given a temporary solution.

Although the iOS 12.1.2 update log mentions "addressing an issue that could affect cellular connectivity on iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max in Turkey," the problem in Turkey was resolved, and connectivity issues seemed to have reappeared elsewhere: the problem was not widespread, but it was serious enough to cause a series of complaints on Twitter and even Forbes magazine reported on it at this time.

If you have similar problems, here is another solution provided by foreign players to fix the iOS 12.1.2 data connection problem.

• You can turn off WiFi calling by going to Settings - Cellular Network. This is actually irrelevant to Chinese users because it is only supported by some foreign operators in China.
• In the cellular network - enable 4G - select "Data Only". If you have a dual-SIM iPhone, you need to enter the specific operator and select it.

The latter will turn off the voLTE function, which is only a temporary solution. As of now, Apple has not officially explained this issue. Currently, the iOS 12.1.3 beta has been released, and we estimate that Apple will solve it in the next update.
