Fudan professor's new research findings: The more expensive the mobile phone, the more expensive it is to take a taxi

On March 3, according to media reports, Professor Sun Jinyun of Fudan University in Shanghai recently led a team to conduct a survey on "hailing a taxi using mobile phone taxi apps".

The team took taxis more than 800 times in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Chongqing, spending 50,000 yuan in exchange for this taxi report.

The report shows that Apple phone owners are more likely to be accepted by more expensive car models such as private cars and premium cars. If the phone is not an Apple phone, the more expensive the phone, the more likely it is to be accepted by more expensive car models.

The survey also found that the actual fare was higher than the estimated fare, and this situation accounted for as high as 80%. Online taxi drivers also said that the actual fare was definitely higher than the estimated price; because there were no various taxi subsidies and discounts, the price of Apple phones would be a little more expensive; it is indeed more difficult to get a taxi now.

Regarding the issue of taking a taxi, the professor also put forward his own opinion: when using taxi apps, or all big data-supported software, everyone should not "take root" on the same platform.

Because whether it is the research results or the feedback from netizens, one conclusion can be drawn, that is, if you use the same platform for a long time, you will not get more discounts, but will be treated as a regular customer and "slaughtered".

Therefore, when ordering takeout, calling a taxi, or shopping online, we should "negotiate" between multiple platforms so that we can get the best discounts.
