A few years ago, I started to say that 64G is completely out of date and will be phased out. In the early years, 64G was still popular for the sake of price, but I believe 128G will soon be phased out. It's not that you don't have such a big demand and your phone memory is enough, but now the APPs are getting bigger and bigger, and it's very annoying to clean up the memory if the memory is not enough.
In fact, we can roughly calculate that a new mobile phone has about 10G of space for the system and firmware, and then you can download some apps for daily use, including chat, news, video, shopping, life, and tools. You will use at least 30 to 40 apps, and the average size of each app is 400m, plus the cache is about 500m, which is about 20G. For those who don't take photos or videos often, 10G is enough to store chat records, photos and videos on the phone. Add the above, it's about 50G. So 64G can be said to be barely enough for casual mobile phone users, but it will be very uncomfortable to use, and you have to be careful everywhere. Therefore, 128G is relatively abundant and is completely sufficient for most ordinary people. This is why the iPhone 13 series cancelled the 64G version and started directly with 128G. Of course, if you are a heavy mobile phone user, download a lot of games, or store a lot of photos and videos, that’s another matter. A larger memory is a better choice. |
