Apple iOS / iPadOS 17 released Beta 4 revision and second public beta

On August 1, Apple released the second public beta version of iOS/iPadOS 17 (internal version number 21A5291j) for public beta members, inviting non-developers to test new functions/features.

Apple also released a repaired version of iOS/iPadOS Beta 4 (internal version number is also 21A5291j) for developers today. Compared with Beta 4 (internal version number is 21A5291h) released about a week ago, it fixes some bugs. IT Home checked Apple's official website and found no new features introduced in the new version.

Registered developers can opt into the beta by opening the Settings app, going to the Software Update section, tapping the Beta Updates option, and then turning on iOS Developer Beta. Please note that an Apple ID associated with a developer account is required to download and install the beta.

The main new feature of iOS/iPadOS Beta 4 is that the simplified Chinese translation of "Standby" has been changed from "standby" to "standby display".

The safety function has been launched in China. Apple iPhone's "Safety Confirmation" is a new feature of iOS 17: your friends will be automatically notified when you arrive at your destination, and if an accident occurs, the system will share your location status immediately.
