On November 18, the National Tourism Standardization Technical Committee announced the evaluation results of the first batch of national civilized tourism demonstration units .

It is understood that after voluntary application, review and recommendation by provincial cultural and tourism administrative departments, and final evaluation by the National Tourism Standardization Technical Committee, 47 units in the first batch of national civilized tourism demonstration units have been identified as meeting the standards of national civilized tourism demonstration units. (Due to epidemic prevention and control reasons, 10 units in Hubei Province, Hunan Province, Gansu Province, Qinghai Province, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps did not conduct on-site evaluation.)

Civilized tourism demonstration units are divided into national civilized tourism demonstration units and provincial civilized tourism demonstration units. They refer to units that actively promote civilized tourism, guide tourists and organize training for civilized behavior of tourism practitioners, and are exemplary units, including A-level tourist attractions, star-rated tourist hotels, travel agencies and other units that provide tourism-related services. Any unit that has been officially opened for more than one year in the People's Republic of China and has independent legal person status can apply. The assessment agency for national civilized tourism demonstration units is the National Tourism Standardization Technical Committee.

The announcement shows that after voluntary application, review and recommendation by provincial cultural and tourism administrative departments, and final assessment by the National Tourism Standardization Technical Committee, 47 units have been identified as meeting the standards of national civilized tourism demonstration units. Currently, the first batch of national civilized tourism demonstration units are being announced, and the announcement period is from November 17 to November 23, 2021 (5 working days).
