"Internet celebrity" ointment~~

Recently, many online beauty bloggers have recommended a "cheap and easy-to-use ointment" to everyone, which has a lot of magical effects such as skin beautification, acne removal, and blackhead removal, making the majority of beauty-loving boys and girls yearn for it. This inexpensive and good-quality ointment is tretinoin cream.

Is tretinoin cream really that miraculous? Can anyone use it?

Anti-acne is effective but not for everyone

Retinoic acid cream is a common ointment in dermatology clinical practice, mainly used for the auxiliary treatment of acne vulgaris, flat warts, leukoplakia, pityriasis rubra pilaris, keratosis follicularis and psoriasis.

Retinoic acid cream has the effects of regulating immunity and anti-inflammatory. It can be used clinically to treat acne and keratotic diseases. It does have the effect of reducing closed comedones and killing Propionibacterium acnes to a certain extent.

However, it should be emphasized that retinoic acid cream is quite irritating and is not suitable for people with sensitive skin whose skin is prone to redness and itching. Therefore, people with weak skin barriers should not use it without authorization.

Be careful not to step on these minefields when using

Many beauty bloggers have exaggerated online, saying that this drug is cheap and beats all the expensive big-name skincare products... Let me remind you that no matter how high the "cost-effectiveness" is, it is also a prescription drug. If it is a prescription drug, it must be used under the doctor's prescription and the pharmacist's guidance. Improper use can cause harm to the body.

Please pay attention to the following aspects when using:

1 Pregnant women, women who are planning to get pregnant, or women who are breastfeeding should not use it because it may cause fetal malformations.

2 Try to avoid eyes when using.

3 Do not use if skin is broken.

4. It is not suitable for patients with eczema, sunburn, acute dermatitis or rosacea.

5. Do not use on skin folds.

6. It is not suitable for large-area skin application and the daily dosage should not exceed 20g.

7 It is best to use a lower concentration preparation first, and then switch to a higher concentration preparation after tolerance is achieved.

8 Sunlight can aggravate the irritation of retinoic acid to the skin and cause the decomposition of retinoic acid. Therefore, it is best to apply it at night and before going to bed. During the treatment process, avoid sunlight or take sunshade measures.
