At 12:43 on December 29, the Long March 3B carrier rocket ignited and took off from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center , and then sent the Test No. 10 02 satellite into the predetermined orbit. The launch mission was a complete success.

The launch vehicle, developed and manufactured by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation , achieved full success in its 2022 launch mission, 54 battles, 54 victories!

Long March 3B launch vehicle ignites and takes off

The Test 10-02 satellite was developed by the Eighth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and is mainly used for in-orbit verification tests of new technologies such as space environment monitoring. The Long March 3B carrier rocket that performed this mission was developed by the First Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and belongs to the "gold medal rocket" Long March 3A series. In this mission, the model team took a total of 19 strict measures in terms of quality control, technical status control, physical status confirmation, and comprehensive maintenance of ground equipment to ensure the success and efficiency of the mission with high quality, comprehensively improving product reliability and quality management accuracy.

This launch is the 458th launch of the Long March series of launch vehicles and the 128th consecutive successful launch of this series of launch vehicles since May 2020.

This year, the aerospace launch missions of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation have been characterized by important tasks and high launch density. The group has overcome the pressure and challenges brought by the COVID-19 epidemic, and has seized the opportunity and created great glories in this critical year of accelerating the construction of a space power and striving to achieve the goal of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army.

This year, China's launch missions during the construction phase of the space station were all successful: the Long March 5B carrier rocket successfully launched two experimental modules of the Chinese space station - the Wentian laboratory module and the Mengtian laboratory module; the Long March 7 carrier rocket successfully launched the Tianzhou 4 and Tianzhou 5 cargo spacecraft; and the Long March 2F carrier rocket successfully launched the Shenzhou 14 and Shenzhou 15 manned spacecraft.

This year, the Long March 4B carrier rocket successfully launched the "Jumang", and my country's carbon sink monitoring entered the era of space-based remote sensing; the Long March 2D carrier rocket successfully launched the "Kuafu-1" and other satellites, bringing the annual number of launches of a single type of carrier rocket in my country to 15 times.

This year, my country's first solid-liquid bundled carrier rocket, the Long March 6M, made its maiden flight successfully; the Long March 8 carrier rocket broke my country's record of launching multiple satellites with one rocket to 22; and the Jielong 3 carrier rocket made its maiden flight successfully, realizing the leap from my country's cold launch of carrier rockets at sea to hot launch at sea.

This year, the number of launches of carrier rockets developed and manufactured by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation reached 50 for the first time (including 53 launches of the Long March series of carrier rockets and 1 launch of the Jielong III carrier rocket), sending more than 140 spacecraft (including those carried on board) into space, laying a solid foundation for China to accelerate the construction of a space power.
