Pet cloning: The cost of "resurrecting" a pet is the killing of countless animals

The principle of pet cloning seems simple. Take a piece of the original pet's skin and extract the cell nucleus from the skin cells; take an egg cell from another animal and remove its nucleus; then implant the new egg cell into another animal until a new life is conceived.

The egg retrieval process is extremely painful. They will inject hormones into the egg donor cat to induce estrus. Then they will cut open its abdomen, find the fallopian tube, inject egg flushing fluid into one end, and catch the flushed egg cells from the other end. The other unselected animals will be adopted if they are lucky, but unfortunately, they may be added to the cloning production line to become tools for egg donation and surrogacy, or they may be directly disposed of.
