It is clear that these people still need to be vaccinated against COVID-19! The latest document from the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council

On the 10th, the State Council's Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism released the "Vaccination Work Plan for Responding to the Recent Novel Coronavirus Infection Outbreak" and an interpretation question and answer, which clearly stipulates the target population for vaccination, time intervals, vaccine selection, etc.

Which groups of people still need to be vaccinated with the new coronavirus vaccine?

The plan clearly states that the focus of vaccination at this stage is to fill the gap in immunity levels among different target groups and further reduce the risk of severe illness and death. The target groups are as follows:

1. People who are not infected and have not completed the established immunization program.

People aged 3-17 who are not infected and have not completed basic immunization

People aged 18 and above who are not infected and have not yet completed the first dose of booster vaccination

People aged 18 and above who are not infected and have not completed the second dose of booster vaccination (people at high risk of infection, people aged 60 and above, people with more serious underlying diseases and people with weakened immunity)

(2) People who have been infected and have not completed basic immunization.

How long should the interval be between receiving the COVID-19 vaccine?

The target population that has not been infected should complete subsequent doses of vaccination according to the established immunization procedures and their time interval requirements. Among them, for people over 18 years old who have completed basic immunization, the time interval between the first dose of booster immunization is adjusted to more than 3 months.

People who have been infected and have not completed basic immunization can receive one dose of vaccine three months after infection.

How to choose a vaccine?

Currently, Sinocell's recombinant coronavirus 4-valent S trimer protein vaccine and Shijiazhuang Pharmaceutical's coronavirus mRNA vaccine have been included in emergency use and can be used to strengthen immunity for people over 18 years old.
