Tornado hits Fuxin City

No casualties

Around 13:00 on June 1, a tornado struck Fuxin City, Liaoning Province. According to eyewitness videos, the main body of the tornado was hundreds of meters high and reached the sky, with flying sand and rocks at the scene, creating a shocking scene.

According to the People's Government of Haizhou District, Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, at about 13:20 on the afternoon of June 1, due to the influence of strong convective weather, tornado weather occurred in the Jiwu Community of Zhanqian Street, Haizhou District and Xihuang Village of Hanjiadian Town, causing damage to some houses, vehicles, power lines and green trees. Relevant post-disaster work is being carried out in an orderly manner. So far, there are no casualties.

From the video posted by netizens, we can see that the funnel-shaped black cloud is moving quickly like a high-speed spinning top, extending from the ground to the sky.

Tornado occurs in Kaiyuan City, Tieling

Preliminary statistics show that more than 70 households were affected

Around 14:00, a tornado struck Jingouzi Town, Kaiyuan City, Tieling City, Liaoning Province, causing damage to houses in nearby villages. Local firefighting, public security and other departments have rushed to the scene.

The video shows that the sky in Kaiyuan was as dark as night during the day, a waterspout quickly swept across the water, and the trees were instantly barren.

Rescue workers said the tornado mainly affected the area within Tianjia Village, with preliminary statistics showing more than 70 households were affected, affecting about 200 people. Currently, the affected people are being evacuated, and more than 10 injured people have been sent to the hospital for treatment. No deaths have been reported so far.
