According to the Shenzhen Meteorological Bureau, Shenzhen experienced extremely heavy rainstorms from the evening of September 7 to the morning of September 8. From 17:00 on the 7th to 06:00 on the 8th, the average rainfall in Shenzhen was 202.8 mm, and the maximum accumulated rainfall was 469.0 mm (Donghu Street, Luohu District).

It is understood that this rainfall has the characteristics of "super-strong intensity, super-long duration, and super-wide range of heavy rainfall". As of 9:45 on the 8th, the rainfall in Shenzhen broke six historical extreme values ​​since Shenzhen began to keep meteorological records in 1952! !

On September 8, the Shenzhen Flood, Drought and Wind Prevention Command Office issued an announcement on preventing heavy rainfall, saying that heavy rainfall will continue and the red warning signal for heavy rain is still in effect.
