Zhou Jianping, chief designer of China's manned space program, said at the 6th Manned Spaceflight Academic Conference held in Shenzhen on the 21st that China's manned lunar exploration project's manned lunar mission has completed the early key technology research and in-depth demonstration, and has now fully entered the prototype development stage.

my country's manned lunar exploration project is a major national scientific and technological project, carrying the great dream of realizing the Chinese people's landing on the moon.

According to the plan, my country will achieve the first Chinese landing on the moon before 2030, carry out lunar scientific exploration and related technical experiments, break through and master key technologies such as manned round-trip between the Earth and the Moon, short-term stay on the moon, and joint human-machine exploration, complete multiple tasks such as "landing, patrolling, collecting, researching, and returning", and form an independent manned lunar exploration capability.

Currently, prototypes of the Long March 10 launch vehicle, the Mengzhou manned spacecraft, the Lanyue lunar lander, and the manned lunar rover are under intense development. Many prototypes have been developed and are undergoing relevant tests.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the successful launch of Shenzhou 1. Over the past 25 years, China's manned space program has successfully completed 34 flight missions and sent 38 astronauts into space.

This shows that we have a team of excellent astronauts of a certain size. The space flight experience they have accumulated will definitely provide experience for future manned lunar missions and provide sufficient guarantee of human resources, which is a very important foundation for our manned lunar mission.

So far, my country has selected four batches of astronauts. It is understood that in the future, my country's astronaut team will not only complete space station missions, but also carry out manned lunar missions.

The main process of my country's manned lunar mission is: first launch the Lanyue lunar lander, which will wait in the lunar orbit, and then launch the Mengzhou manned spacecraft, which will rendezvous and dock with the lander in the lunar orbit. The astronauts enter the lander from the spacecraft, and the lander separates from the spacecraft and descends to the lunar surface, where the astronauts carry out lunar surface activities. After that, the astronauts take off and ascend on the lander to dock with the spacecraft, and the astronauts enter the spacecraft. After the spacecraft separates from the lander's lunar module, they return to Earth.
