Kelley Blue Book, an authoritative American automobile evaluation agency, released a brand observation report on the most popular automobile brands among American consumers in the fourth quarter of last year. For the first time in seven years, Tesla ranked among the top three luxury car brands, second only to Lexus and BMW. Lexus barely surpassed BMW to become the most considered automobile brand by car buyers. In the fourth quarter non-luxury car brand rankings, Ford replaced long-time champion Toyota and took the first place. Ford last occupied this position in 2015. Toyota previously held the top spot for nearly four consecutive years. Chevrolet ranked third.
