Recently, Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Chery Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Co., Ltd. (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Jaguar Land Rover Automotive") filed a recall plan with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Management of Recall of Defective Automobile Products". From November 11, 2016, a total of 34,162 vehicles of imported Range Rover Evoque, domestically produced Range Rover Evoque and imported Discovery Sport will be recalled. Recall Scope: Starting from November 11, 2016, the following vehicles are recalled, totaling 34,162 vehicles: (i) 33,346 imported Range Rover Evoque vehicles of model year 2014-2015 manufactured between April 30, 2013 and December 4, 2014; (ii) 94 imported Land Rover Discovery Sport vehicles of the 2015 model year manufactured between September 17, 2014 and January 9, 2015; (3) 722 domestically produced 2015 model-year Land Rover Range Rover Evoque vehicles produced between November 14, 2014 and March 31, 2016. Reason for recall: Some vehicles covered by this recall may have poorly crimped transmission wiring harnesses, which may cause the transmission to shift into neutral in some cases, causing the vehicle to suddenly lose power and pose a safety hazard. Solution: Jaguar Land Rover will upgrade the transmission software of the vehicles within the recall scope free of charge to eliminate safety hazards. Jaguar Land Rover will proactively contact relevant users through special dealers by registered mail and other means to arrange the recall.
