Porsche Mission E may be equipped with a new battery pack

According to foreign media reports, Porsche showed its new electric concept car Mission E to the outside world at the Frankfurt International Motor Show last year. Recently, there is news that Porsche is working on launching this pure electric car to the global market, and plans to work hard to officially launch a new Mission E electric car to the market in the next few years. In addition, according to the company's CEO Oliver Blume, the new car is expected to achieve its sales target of 20,000 units after its launch.

In terms of exterior design, from the exposed pictures, this electric car will adopt a different design style from the Panamera. The new car has no side mirrors, but uses cameras installed on the outside of the body to monitor the environment around the vehicle, and displays the real-time monitoring image in the lower corner of the windshield. During the vehicle's driving, this display function is also used to view external environment assessment safety information.

In terms of interior, the new Mission E electric car also has a camera installed inside to monitor the changes in the driver's line of sight. The monitoring system can track the changes in the driver's line of sight when observing the instrument panel, and use this to assist the driver in correctly controlling certain functions. This new technology has another benefit, that is, when the driver changes his seat position or his body leans to one side, the control function and the instrument panel will automatically adjust to ensure that the driver has the best view during driving.

In terms of power, Porsche's upcoming new Mission E pure electric vehicle will adopt a dual-motor, four-wheel drive mode. Under normal circumstances, the maximum output power is 600 horsepower, and the acceleration time from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour (0 to 62 miles) is 3.5 seconds. In addition, the advantage of the new car is that it can be charged very quickly. As a four-door electric sports sedan, the new car can reach 80% of the total battery capacity in just 15 minutes, and the maximum cruising range after a full charge will exceed 310 miles (about 500 kilometers).

As a high-performance supercar, Porsche's electric car may lock in its competitor Tesla and compete fiercely with it in the market. At the same time, Porsche is focusing on the development of the electric version of the 718 Boster. Although the German automaker has not officially revealed any features about the new electric car, it is expected that the Mission E electric car, which was once glimpsed, will appear in the eyes of consumers in 2020. In addition, it is worth mentioning that the Mission E electric car will be equipped with a set of advanced lithium-ion batteries, and the battery will be extended and installed throughout the bottom of the vehicle. This battery can be charged in two different ways: the first is to charge it by connecting the charging port hidden under the front fender to a traditional charging station through a cable; the other is inductive charging. The latter charging method only requires the electric car to be parked on the charging base plate in the garage to charge.
